In an effort to assist you in finding a Christ Centered Church in your area; here are some key Doctrinal Statements and Fundamental Beliefs to think about prior to joining a Church.

• Pray and ask the Lord to give you wisdom and discernment as you search for a Christ Centered Church.

• Read the church’s brochure, visit their web site or talk with the Pastor. Is the Church passionate about Jesus Christ?

• Listen to the sermons. Our ultimate authority is God’s word. Does the preacher open up God’s word and preach from it? Is the teaching contrary to God’s word? Do they treat the Bible as the inerrant, inspired and infallible word of God?

Does the church have doctrinal soundness?

• Do they believe in...the Complete and Utter Depravity of Man (Romans 3:9,10 & 18)

• Do they believe in...the Deity of Christ (John 1:1, Romans 9:5, Hebrews 1:8)

• Do they believe in...Justification by Faith Alone (not by works) (Romans 11:6, Galatians 2:16-21, 3:10-11)

• Do they believe that...Salvation is only in Jesus Christ (one way) Salvation is the Work of God (not willed by man) (Acts 4:1-12)

• Do they believe in...Forgiveness of Sins (Ephesians 4:32, 5:2)

• Do they believe in...Eternal Security (Romans 8:28-30, Colossians 1:21-23)

• Do they believe in...Authority, Inspiration, Sufficiency and clarity of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Mark 13:31; John 20:31; Acts 20:32)
