Con-sid-er;
(v) to think carefully about, contemplate, reflect on,
examine.
“Are you so preoccupied with things like your career, the
internet, TV, and your hobbies that you seldom stop to
consider your ways?” Romans 3:19 says: “now we know that whatever the
law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that
every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held
accountable to God.” God’s Law, the 10 Commandments: you shall not murder,
lie, steal, commit adultery.
Jesus said that: if we
hate someone it’s as if we’ve committed murder and everyone
who looks with lustful intent has already committed adultery
in their heart
(Mt 5:17 - 48). Have you ever hated, lied, or lusted?
Matthew 12:36 says:
“God will hold you accountable for every careless word
you’ve ever spoken and all of your immoral thoughts and
actions.” What if
the way you live your life today, truly is an offence to
Him? How many times have you sinned, in breaking His
law and rightfully deserve Hell? Hebrews 9:27 says: “it is appointed for man to die once,
and after that comes judgment.”
The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel
(Mark 1:15). Have you ever heard of the Good News? (i.e the
Gospel). The Bible teaches: God showed
His love for us in that while we were still
sinners Christ died for us, bearing God’s wrath to pay for
our sin, in order to free us to bring Him glory with our
lives
Romans 5:8, Romans 15:7,8 Isaiah 53.
Re-pent-ance;
(v) as the result of knowledge, a change of mind, conduct
and purpose. Jesus said:
“I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to
repentance”
Luke 5:31-32. God demands that we turn from our life of
sin and
by faith surrender our lives to Jesus Christ alone.
No one is guaranteed another day … Consider Your Ways.
